Fostering a Commercial and Technical Partnership with Wilo Group

GGF welcomes a new partner to support our modern and sustainable agriculture program.

With demand for food expected to increase by 60 percent by 2050, and the agricultural system already under pressure to satisfy current demand, the only way to increase food production is to invest in sustainable technologies and climate-smart agriculture. Hence investing in a proper and sustainable irrigation and drainage system is imperative to enable farmers like Green Gold Farms Ghana to produce all year round to curb food insecurity with less of an environmental impact.

Green Gold Farms Ghana is happy to announce the budding of a technical and commercial partnership with Wilo Group, who will support our irrigation set ups using sustainable, reliable and affordable approaches to develop and deploy clean water to increase our agricultural productivity all year round.

We had the opportunity to host the Sales Director for Middle & Southern Africa – Mr Matthew Magwede and the Country Manager Ghana – Mr Dominic Addo on our Northern and Southern Regional farms. They generously provided their initial analysis on investment, operations, maintenance, renewal, rehabilitation and modernization of our irrigation set ups.

Mr Magwede was very impressed with Green Gold Farms Ghana initiatives and dedication, and expressed his team’s eagerness to work with us. He promised us innovative solutions, smart products and individual services that will move our water in an intelligent, efficient and climate-friendly manner.

With the fostering of this partnership, we hope to take up the challenge of a sustainable increase in production of more and better food while better preserving ecosystems and natural resources.

We will be sharing updates on our progress as always.
