Irrigation – Crucial Part of Our Project
Agricultural growth can be achieved through expansion, by cultivating more land, or through intensification, by increasing the productivity of existing land, which requires effective irrigation techniques and systems.
We invested a lot of work, effort, time and funds to create this very important part of our project.
For us irrigation is a securement for intensive cultivation all over the year, a crucial factor to increase significantly our commercial agricultural production and a guarantee to fulfil our off-taker agreements.
Our land has a good connection to water supply, good soil, and is situated in an area with suitable climatic conditions, which gives us a huge potential to pursue commercial farming using a functional irrigation system.
It was therefore very important for us to create a reservoir, which would store enough water to irrigate our land between the raining seasons.
The fresh water is coming to the reservoir through constructed long water chanel. We can store almost 3,800,000 litres of fresh water and are going to double the volume soon.
If necesseray, the water is directed to the fields through the long pipe network, where we can adjust the irrigation in an accurate manner.
